It must be noted that I am a gigantic Beatles fan and they do not allow their music on Grooveshark so I will do my best to make a playlist without them. I would have included "Dear Prudence" beautiful song with some of McCartney's best bass work and "Happiness is a Warm Gun"...Lennon brilliance. The Beach Boys - "Wouldn't it be Nice"
My first music memories were listening to an 8-track of golden oldies in my dad's car and it was littered with Beach Boys tracks. Brian Wilson is a genius.
Hall and Oates - "One on One"
Hard to choose a favorite Hall and Oates track but this one is my favorite at the moment. Smooth as F and indicative of their sound.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - "The Waiting"
Hard to pick just one track again but I just really love this song. Being away from your loved one/s is tough when you're in a band and this song sums it up.
Eric Clapton - "Anything for Your Love"
First memories of "guitar" music was Eric Clapton in my Mom's car on the way to school when I was really young. Journeyman is one of my favorite and most underrated Clapton albums.
Stevie Wonder - "Signed Sealed Delivered"
Makes me happy every time I hear it. Nuf said.
Bob Marley and the Wailers - "Concrete Jungle"
Og version with Tosh and Bunny on the backups. Sick. First time I really began to "hear" reggae music was listening to this track.
The Black Uhuru - "Anthem"
My favorite Black Uhuru song just a great song also check out "Chill Out". Indicative of the 80's edgier rockier version of jamaican reggae. Sly and Robbie and the Taxi gang backing Michael Rose...
EPMD - "Crossover"
First album I ever bought. Business Never Personal. First foray into hip hop music. Dope track.
Eminem- "Any Man"
From Soundbombing II. Early Eminem, funny and insane lyricism. "Your style is like dying in my sleep, I don't feel it"
Jay Z - "22 two's"
Reasonable doubt is one of the greatest hip hop albums ever and this is just one of the dope songs from the album.
Cecilio & Kapono - "6 O'Clock Bad News"
If you're from Hawaii then this is the music of your childhood. Some of the best music every produced in Hawaii.
Ka'au Crater Boys - "You Don't Write"
Troy Fernandez was the ukulele player every kid my age idolized. I know just about every song from every one of their albums. Pure local Hawaiian music. The first music I ever learned to play on an instrument.
Led Zeppelin - "Since I've Been Loving You"
Amazing song. Jimmy Page is one of the guitar players I idolized when I first started playing guitar. This song is just so haunting and pure Zep.
Marvin Gaye - "Heard it through the Grapevine"
I remember listening to this song when I was young and just loving it. One of the great smooth voices ever.
Kings of Leon - "Notion"
I love this song and this band. We were lucky enough to open up for them and to see their live show up close was extremely impressive.
The Police - "So Lonely"
Sting is a savage and The Police played the reggae/rock style to perfection.
Jeff Buckley- "Lover, You Should Have Come Over"
Amazing voice and a truly great song.
Paula Abdul - "Cold Hearted Snake"
When I was 7 years old I wanted to marry Paula Abdul. I had a picture of her in my cubby hole. BOOM!

"Seeing Double at the Triple Rock" - NOFX: and listen to their new music too
"Zion" - Pourhabit: my new favorite punk band. Good friends, good music
"Love 2 the DJ" - Sabotage Soundsystem: like the feel of this song. Simple and catchy. Love Kaleo and Dub Nasty
"Photograph" - Weezer: Weezer writes hit songs. Period.
"No One Knows" - Queens of the stoneage: this band is so sick I get really pumped listening to this. Plus Dave Grohl is really solid on drums
"Sound of the Slums" - Inspectah Deck: aside from punk I grew up on Wu-Tang and listen to a lot of their solo albums
"99 Problems" - Jay Z: this is kind of a statement to my life right now it hits home
"You Know My Name" The Beatles: just one of so many good songs by the beatles, love all of them really (*** Couldn't add the song because of iTunes)
"Mash It Up" - Hours Eastly: opened up for us In jax beack our first time really creative and catchy songs. My favorite underground reggae rock band right now
